17 nations will be competing in the Third Women's EU Boxing Championships being held in Liverpool this August.

We are delighted to announce the team representing England. The team are a mixed bunch including people with a great deal of experience and those who are new but are full of promise and talent the team are:

International Record: 6 bouts, lost 2 all domestic
Family: Single, 5 sisters - baby of family
Started boxing: 2 years ago
Started kick boxing when she was 3, wanted to do boxing as well to get more bouts.

Age: 21
Club: Haringey Police Community Club, North West London
International Record: 2 bouts and lost both
Family: Single and has 5 brothers
Started boxing: 4 years ago
Started boxing because she was often fighting on the streets and wanted to channel her aggression in a positive way.

Record: 39 bouts, 28 wins. Gold in 2004 and Silver in 2007 in the Witch Cup, Bronze in the Ahmet Comert Cup in 2007. European Silver Medallist.

Started boxing: when she was 12.
Started boxing when her mum took her down to do kids boxing session while she did an exercise class in the gym.

Amanda Coulson Name: Amanda Coulson
Competing Weight: 66kg
Age: 25
Club: Hartlepool Catholic ABC, in Hartlepool within the Tyne, Tees and Wear Region
International Record: 25 international bouts. Silver medalist at the European Union Championships in 2006 and 2007. Gold at the Ahmet Comert Cup in 2007 and Silver in 2008 at the same tournament.
Family: Single and has 4 step sisters.
Started boxing: in 1997, and has first bout in 99.
Started boxing after seeing an article in the national press about the first amateur women's bout that was going to take place. The controversy, the challenge and seeing what was possible inspired Amanda to start.

Started boxing: 3 ½ years ago for the challenge and to get fit

Name: Lisa Perryman
Competing Weight: 75kg
Age: 24
Club: Empire ABC, Bristol
Record: 5 domestic bouts, won 2
Family: Single with a younger brother and sister. 
Started boxing: in 2003
Started boxing after being hassled at school and not feeling like she fitted with other sports. She also wanted to do something different and when she walked into boxing gym for first time it felt right.
Name of trainer: Jimmy Roebuck and Martin Bist 


Name: Lydia Morgan
Competing Weight: 80kg
Age: 24
Club: St Alloysuis ABC in the North West Counties
Record: Previously did hammer throwing and represented England in Rugby league. Has had 2 domestic bouts and no international bouts. Her first bout was at the semi finals of this year's Female Championships. Lydia went on to win the title and is a real powerhouse.
Family: Single and has 3 brothers
