Sharon Holford
Pictured in red below, Sharon is the current Female ABA National Class A Champion at 52kg. After her win she went on to win silver at the 3rd Women's European Union Championships in August 2008.
Coached by Ronny Tucker and Adam Ainger from Aspire ABC, Sharon competed at the GB v Sweden Dual in Sweden in January 2009 and hopes to retain her title in this year's Female ABAE Championships.
How did you get involved?
A boxing gym opened up where I worked and I thought lets give it a go.
What do you love about boxing?
The discipline, it keeps me fit and I enjoy the competitive side.
Do you have a message for women and girls starting in boxing?
Go for it. You never know you just might surprise yourself.

I used to swim for Yorkshire
