Doping Policy

The Board of Directors of The ABAE have ratified the new ABAE Doping Policy in consultation with UK Sport. This policy accords fully with the Anti Doping Rules and Policies of both the Association Internationale De Boxe Amateur [AIBA] and The World Anti Doping Agency [WADA].

This policy comes into effect immediately and will be complimented with a comprehensive programme of doping throughout the sport.

After consultation with The Amateur Boxing Association of Wales [WABA] and Amateur Boxing Scotland [ABS] a tri-nation [BABA] agreement is to be signed whereby the ABAE will manage the process for both the ABAE domestic programme and the GB Boxing Programme.

Discipline cases regarding GB boxers emanating from this Doping Programme will be addressed by 'tri-nation discipline panels' consisting of one member of each constituent country.

Any enquiries regarding this policy & programme should be addressed to the ABAE Doping Control Manager: Barry Jones via the ABAE Headquarters at The EIS, Sheffield.
