Setting up and developing your club

There are currently over 830 boxing clubs in England and the sport is one of the fastest growing in the country. This has led to increased membership at existing clubs, as well as the need to set up more clubs where there is a growing interest in amateur boxing.

This section provides guidance on how to set up and run a club. If you need further information contact your local regional secretary.

Before embarking on setting up a new club you need to ask the following questions:

  • Are there existing clubs in your area which may be able to help you?
  • Are there enough potential boxers to join the club?
  • Are there enough volunteers to help with the management and administration of a club? See our volunteering section for more information.
