Boxing is a hit with Mencap children's centre
Twelve students from Watford Mencap Children's Centre have participated in a Great Britain Boxing Awards taster, picking up boxing skills and techniques in a fun, non-contact session.

The centre is for children and young people aged 3 to 8 years with physical and learning disabilities and other special needs, in the Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere areas. Local GB Boxing Tutor Enzo Vullo, who led the session with fellow tutor Simon, praised the children's efforts.
"The young people we worked with were fantastic and put in a lot of effort in their boxing taster session; it was very rewarding to see the children enjoying and participating in a sport that they might otherwise have been unable to access," he said.
Q Shillingford, Director of the GB Boxing Awards, said: "As part of the session the children learned about boxing stance, footwork and how to jab. The next step now is to get them people working towards a GB Boxing Preliminary Award".
