Women's EU Championships - Bulgaria

England's women's EU championship squad underwent their final training sessions at the weekend under the guidance of coaches Mick McAllister, Darren Maher and Stuart O'Connor at Liverpool's famous Rotunda ABC gym.

The following boxers make up the team that will travel to Pazardjik, Bulgaria from 23 to 28 June.

48kg Hannah Beharry

Hannah Beharry

22 year old Londoner Hannah, a recent gold medallist at the Haringey Box Cup, looks to carry her good form through to the EUs.

51kg Sharon Holford

Sharon Holford

Sharon has three ABA titles to her name, all achieved at different weights and most recently in 2009 at flyweight. The 29-year-old hopes to go one step further than the silver medal she won at the 2008 EU Championships in Liverpool.

57kg Lucy O'Connor

Lucy OConnor

Team captain Lucy, a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, looks to retain her title, having struck gold at last year's championships.

64kg Natasha Jonas

Natasha Jonas

Southpaw Natasha looks set to improve in these championships, after achieving silver in 2007 and 2008.

69kg Savannah Marshall

Savannah Marshall

The youngest member of the team at 18, Savannah boasts a 100% record, having won all of her twelve bouts, eight inside the distance. Bulgaria has proven a happy hunting ground in the past for the youngster, as she won European Youth gold at Yambol in December 2008.

Team Manager Martin Webb said: 'The team looked extremely sharp and I am confident all five have a realistic chance of coming home with a medal.'
