Merseyside and Cheshire Senior ABA finals

This Thursday night some of the North West's finest will battle it out at the Alsop Sports Centre in Liverpool.

Some of the region's biggest hitters will go toe-to-toe for the chance to make it through to the quarter finals of this year's National Senior ABAE Championships, following in the footsteps of some of boxing's biggest stars.

Damian Ridpath, Liverpool boxing development officer, said: "This tournament will be among the best we've seen in recent years. No fewer than eleven international boxers are taking part, everyone in the sport is eagerly awaiting this event."
