Huge number of entries for 2009 Female Championships
An overwhelming 148 entries have been received for this year's Female ABAE Championships across the school age, junior and senior categories.
The event demonstrates a huge increase in the participation of women's boxing in England.
Associations will hold weigh-ins before April 19th and, where required, association box-offs will follow in April. If required, quarter finals will take place following the same format as other ABAE events (for example Yorkshire v Midlands). This will result in semi finalists who will compete on 31st May and the finals will take place on June 7th.
