Women's Box Camp 2009

As part of a commitment to the development of women's boxing, the ABAE is holding a Women's Box Camp for women of all ages and levels, in August.

The aim of the camp is to develop women's boxing, ensuring that women and girls enjoy their boxing experience, stay involved in the sport and have the chance to succeed.

The event will enable boxers to progress to the next level of participation - whether as a recreational boxer who wants to start to compete, or as a competitive boxer in need of more sparring to help prepare for competition at a higher level.

Additionally, it will provide an opportunity for talent identification and development, as well as being an opportunity for women and girls to come together to train, learn, make new friends and work alongside the England women's boxing team in their preparation for this year's European Championships.

The Camp is open to any affiliated member of the Amateur Boxing Association of England. Affiliated members of Scotland and Wales Amateur Boxing Associations are also welcome but at a cost of £175 for the week. The minimum age for participants is 14 years and the maximum is 34 years.
