Commonwealth Youth Games Finals
Three boxers struck gold in the finals of the contest in India, leaving England with a medal tally of three gold, a silver and a bronze.
Results:
51kg James Dickens lost to D. Chapman (Wales) 7:8
This was a tense affair, with both boxers looking to sneak points.
The Welsh puncher took the spoils in the end, with the very last punch of the contest registering the all important point needed for gold.

54kg John Quigley beat C. Rock (Guyana) 12:1
A dominant performance from the stylish John Quigley saw him take England's first boxing Gold of these Games. Switch hitting caught the eye and a useful defence restricted the long armed Guyanan to just 1 point.
57kg Iain Weaver beat I. Balla (Australia) 16:1
Entertainer Ian pleased the crowd with his box-fighter style. The English featherweight upped the pace in the last, with a 6-0 round to take the honors.

60kg Daniel Phillips beat S. Duffy (N. Ireland) 21:7
Danny's performances in these Games have steadily improved with every win he has achieved. A great start to this contest, with an opening round 7-0, saw him lay the foundations to a great win to gain a deserved Gold medal.
