GB Team Captain for Olympics is 'Dynamite'
David Price has been voted as Team Captain for this summer's Beijing Olympics in August.
A poll of the eight-strong GB Olympic boxing team led to the decision for 'Dynamite' Dave to captain the squad while in China.
The announcement is one of the highlights of an important year for David. A run of injury and bad luck had left the Liverpudlian boxer wondering whether he would get the chance to fulfil his dream of performing at an Olympic Games, until he finally gained his place on the GB team by triumphing at the third and final qualifying event in Athens in March.
The Salisbury ABC super heavyweight said "I'm absolutely delighted that my team mates and friends have voted for me to captain the squad in Beijing. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and a huge honour and I will do my utmost to ensure the team fulfils its full potential at the Games."
