Bolton summer boxing project
Bolton Boxing Development Group are to deliver a project aimed at giving youngsters the opportunity to train throughout the summer.
Sixteen additional boxing sessions per week will now run at the following clubs: Halliwall ABC, Gloves ABC, Elite ABC, Bolton Lads and Girls Club and Castle Hill, throughout the summer holidays.
The summer boxing project, funded by Connexions PAYP (Positive Activities For Young People), was designed to help young people aged 10-19 to develop discipline, self respect and confidence, enabling them to communicate effectively on a range of levels and to work as part of a team.
There will be an opportunity for those with interest and/or a talent to continue once the project has ended.
Times and venues
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4-6pm - Castle Hill ABC - for 11-16 yr olds
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10-12noon - Elite ABC - for 11- 19 yr olds
Mondays: 10-12noon - Gloves ABC - 7-11 yr olds
Friday: 10-12noon - Gloves ABC - 11-19 yr olds
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 12-2pm - Halliwell ABC - 11-19 yr olds
All the sessions will be coached by fully CRB checked qualified boxing coaches.
