England's Anthony joins Big Brother
The England boxing team were represented on Big Brother last night as the TV's most famous reality show Big Brother kicked off.
Anthony Ogogo, who boxes on the development squad and is training towards a place in the London 2012 Olympics, was unveiled alongside a group of people being dubbed 'housemates with a difference' - young people with talent and brains.
The 12 contestants competing for the £50,000 prize on Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack were chosen because they each have a gift, rather than because of their desire for fast fame, and they include a classical musician, a MOBO-nominated singer, an internet entrepreneur and the chairman of the Scottish Youth Parliament.
Anthony won gold at the Junior Olympics in 2004 and was named World under-17 champion in 2005. His biggest ambition it to be World Champion.
Celebrity Hijack will feature a group of famous faces in the role of Big Brother and setting tasks for the housemates, starting with Little Britain's Matt Lucas. The rest of the series will feature Jimmy Carr, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Keith Lemon, Malcolm McLaren, Joan Rivers, Brian Sewell and Ian Wright. Time in the house should be a walk in the park for Anthony, who trains under the strict tutelage of Terry Edwards at the squad training camps in Sheffield.
The show continues on E4.
