3 Nations provide extra incentives for English boxers

.

In a recent British Amateur Boxing Association (BABA) meeting, several 3-Nation competitions were agreed for this coming season. These competitions will provide more opportunities than ever for our boxers to represent their country at an international level.

Details follow.

SCHOOLBOYS   

Class A boxers born 1995 (12-13 years)

Weight categories: 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 57, 60, 63Kg & under.


Class B boxers born 1994 (13-14 years)

Weight categories 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66Kg & under.


NB: As England are hosting this tournament ALL finalists, both winner and runner up in the Golden Gloves Championships, will represent England. The tournament will take place from 10 - 13 April. Venue TBC. 
Details will be handed out at the championships.

JUNIORS   

Class A boxers born 1993 (13-14 years)

Weight categories: 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 70, 75Kg & under.

Class B boxers born 1992 (14-15 years)

Weight categories 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 70, 75, 80Kg & under.

The winners of the Golden Gloves/Junior ABAs championships will be considered to represent England along with other athletes who have already boxed internationally in the 3-Nations tournament that will be held in Cardiff from 17-20 April. Details will be handed out at the championships.

NB: England will be allowed to double up on some weights with authority of the host nation.

YOUTHS   

Class A boxers born 1991 (16-17years)

Class B boxers born 1990 (17-18 years)

Weight categories: 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 69, 75, 81, 91, 91+Kg and under

All winners of the Junior ABA championships championships will be considered to represent England along with other athletes who have already boxed internationally in this 3-Nations championship, to be held in Scotland at a venue TBC 26-28 June

Details will be forwarded to boxers and clubs.


*Note England will be allowed to double up on some of these weights with authority of the host nation.

SENIORS 

Weight categories: 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 69, 75, 81, 91, 91+Kg and under

All finalists from the Senior ABA championships, both winner and runner up, will championships will be considered to represent England along with other athletes who have already boxed internationally in the 3-Nations tournament that will be held in 30th & 31st May in Sheffield. Details will be forwarded.

NB: Dates and venues are subject to change.
