Part 2
Haroon looked very controlled and confident in the opening round; he was connecting with well aimed punches to the opponents head and body. In the second round Haroon began to draw the Canadian's punches in order to land with some superb counters. In a bid to avoid Haroon from scoring at ease, the Canadian continually pushed down on the head of Haroon. In the third round Haroon's combinations were landing with both power and pinpoint accuracy, which frustrated the Canadian. This earning Haroon a well deserved point's win 5-18
54kg Kenny Lally v Daniel Lawlor

From the outset Daniel pushed his opponent back scoring well with long punches, he also landed with two uppercuts which caught the Canadian off guard. In the second round Daniel relaxed into the bout still scoring well. The Canadian was having some success close in. Round three Daniel moved around the ring well, following well-aimed combinations. In the fourth round the Canadian - realizing he was so far behind - came out fast and furious. This suited Daniel, who stood his ground and went 'toe-to-toe'. Both boxers were landing with powerful punches. Daniel went on to win the bout by a score of 14-38
54kg Jarmaine Badchkam v Bradley Evans (Team Captain)
Bradley looked well up for this bout from the outset, unloading his powerful punches to the head and body of the southpaw Canadian. His foot movement appeared to confuse the opponent, as he came in from all different angles. The Canadian began to settle down and caught Bradley with some good counters. In the second round Bradley went to work on the body of the Canadian, at one stage landing with a hook to the stomach which caused the Canadian to yell out claiming it to be a low blow. Bradley landed with further body shots making the Canadian very uneasy. The third round Bradley (clearly well ahead) developed a cut to his right eye lid. The referee, seeing this early on, stopped the bout following the doctor's viewing of the injury. The Canadian was given the victory

57kg Steven Wilcox v Jack Herbert
Jack started the bout in an all-action style, which he continued with throughout. He applied constant pressure to the Canadian with straight punches. When he forced the Canadian onto the ropes, Jack unleashed some powerful hooks to the body. The Canadian was a very game boxer who covered up well and scored with some lovely counters. This bout was a real crowd pleaser, the bout was competed in a 'toe-to-toe' fashion throughout. Jack went on to win by a score of 14-18
60kg Jean-Phillipe CYR v Luke Gibb
The fifth bout saw Luke Gibb box a very game Canadian southpaw. Luke initially had some good success at long range, however as the bout went on his opponent notched up a 6-1 lead at the end of the first round. Following a change of tactics from the corner, Luke applied more pressure and caught his opponent with a right-hand/left hook combination to the head. This forced his opponent to take a couple of steps back. Luke, having realised that he had hurt the Canadian, pushed forward relentlessly. This remained the plan throughout the remaining rounds. Luke's combinations were clinical in their delivery. All of his hard work paid off as he earned a good points win 13-17

64kg Branjd Anthony Butt v Dave Docherty
Southpaw Davey stood off from his opponent in the main, countering all the Canadian's work with some superb accurate shots. On the occasions he pushed forward he was dropping short with his jab. Davey remained quite elusive as the Canadian tried to apply pressure. His footwork and his constant right hook counters appeared to frustrate the Canadian. In the last round the Canadian forced the pace catching Davey, who was still countering well. This was a very close contest which sadly for Davey went in the Canadians favour 11-10

64kg Matthieu Germain v Dudley O'Shaunessy
Dudley - clearly the crowd favourite - got a loud reception from the home fans From the outset both boxers landed with powerful punches, towards the end of the first round Dudley upped the pace causing the Canadian a few problems. The second round again was all action. Dudley scored well with both good body and head shots, which the Canadian returned with his well aimed punches. In the latter stages of the second round the Canadian appeared to be hurt. The last two rounds saw both boxers stand 'toe-to-toe' as they unloaded their punches to the head and body of their opponents. The crowd clearly appreciated the contest. The decision went in the Canadian's favour 24-20

75kg Stuart Twardzik v Kirk Garvey
Kirk started the bout being very selective with his punches; Twardzik looked as if he wanted to brawl. Kirk kept him away with some good long shots. In the second round Kirk stepped up the pace and took the fight to the Canadian, with the use of an array of punches Kirk appeared to be very much in control. The third round Kirk was working well with various punches and at different ranges. He caught the Canadian with a right hand - left hook which clearly hurt him. The last round was a game display by both boxers who were trying to out do each other with their combinations. I personally thought Kirk was very unlucky going down by one point to the Canadian 28-27

81kg Collin Fish v James Pollock
The final bout of the night saw James go head to head with the Canadian team captain. James went out and met him head on. Initially landing with some good accurate punches, however as the round went on the Canadian found his range and began to connect well to the head of James. In the second round James was caught with a super punch which momentarily stopped him in his tracks, however James came straight back with a couple of punches in a bid to keep the Canadian away. In the second round James had a bit more success with his punches to the body; this was matched by the Canadian who stepped up the pace with some good combinations. James stood off of the Canadian in the third allowing him to take control. The last round James had to pressurise this opponent to claw back some points. This he did well until halfway through the round when the Canadian, having weathered the storm opened up with some combinations which were both accurate and powerful. The Canadian went on to win the bout 6-20 .
