Sunderland's light-heavyweight Tony Jeffries cruised his way into the semi finals of the Olympic competition with a clear win over the Hungarian Imre Szello.
Jeffries has beaten Szello before, only two months ago at the EU Championships in Poland, where he won by a solitary point. This time he took a guaranteed bronze with a 10-2.
Jeffries' win brings the medal tally to two - the team's target - and Hammersmith middleweight James DeGale has yet to box his quarter final.
Jeffries will now face Irishman Kenny Egan in the semi-finals on Friday. Egan beat Brazilian Washington Silva in his quarter-final with a final score of 8-0.
