Royal Air Force boxing team news

.

The RAF Boxing team recently took part in a charity boxing evening for "Help for Heroes", a charity that provides after-care for injured servicemen.

The RAF competed against the London District TA and Army Boxing Club. The TA soldiers had trained for this event, but for virtually all of the RAF boxers, this was their first time in a boxing ring. The event was held at The Brewery in central London, with VIPs in attendance, including Air Commodore Murray representing the RAFBA and Major General WG Cubbit CBE representing the Army. Fresh from his tour in Afghanistan was journalist and TV star Ross Kemp, as well as former middleweight champion Lloyd Honeyghan.
