ABAE achieve ISO 9001 certification
The Amateur Boxing Association of England has successfully been recommended for registration for the internationally recognised Quality Management System Standard ISO 9001 Certification. This standard focuses on processes and customer satisfaction and gives a clear demonstration of commitment to quality.
The assessor undertook a rigorous inspection in Sheffield office this week of every aspect across the management of events, national squad and child protection and equity. The assessors interviewed managers and staff from across both areas and were particularly impressed with the enthusiasm and commitment of those they interviewed.
Paul King Chief Executive of ABAE said: "I am delighted with this great achievement as the ABAE is the first National Governing Body in England to be recognised for this International Quality Standard. This is a reflection not only on the sport but all its athletes, volunteers, officials and supporters. Amateur boxing in England continues to go from strength to strength. This is just another indication of this immense progress."
