Each Association must conduct a weigh in prior to the closing date of entry (April 21st). There is no changing weight groups after the weigh-in has taking place in your region. 
Entry forms and payment must go to your regional secretaries as they need to know all entries in their area and organise a regional weigh-in. 

Cheques for the entry fee of £5 must be made payable to your regional association. Regional secretaries must ensure that all entry forms reach the ABAE office by the entry deadline: 21st April.

This squad training session will begin at 7.00pm prompt. It is at this session that the check weigh in will take place. 
All females entering the championships must attend this weigh in.

FEMALE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008 

JUNIOR A: 
All female boxers born between 1st January 1992 and 31st December 1992 are eligible to enter this category. (15 YEARS TO 16 YEARS) 

JUNIOR B: 
All female boxers born between 1st January 1991 and 31st December 1991 are eligible to enter this category. (16 YEARS TO 17 YEARS) 

DURATION OF ROUNDS: 
The above-mentioned categories will box 3 x 2 minute rounds. 

WEIGHT ALLOWANCE: 
All junior categories will receive a weight allowance at the pre-quarter finals, quarter finals, semi finals and finals. 

Allowances:
Boxers in weight classes up to and including 50kg - 300gms. 
In weight classes up to and including 63kg - 500gms. 
In weight classes over 63kg - 700gms. 

The maximum weight a junior female boxer may lose during the weigh-in period shall be the same as for junior male boxers. 

FINALS: 
The finals will be held on the same date and at the same venue as the Senior Female Finals. 

ABAE RULES OF CHAMPIONSHIP 

Unless where indicated within these rules, all rules of championship prescribed by the Amateur Boxing Association of England Limited [ABAE] shall be adopted where they apply to this championship. 



ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY
 

a. The championship shall be open to all correctly registered female boxers within the jurisdiction of the Amateur Boxing Association of England Limited who fulfil the entry requirements. 

b. In the interests of boxer welfare, the ABAE shall reserve the right to prevent the entry into this Championship of any boxer. This shall include those boxers who will not or cannot sign the 'Boxers Medical Indemnity Form', or is under medical suspension during any stage of competition. 

c. This championship is open to British and none British nationals. The latter must have held an ABAE ME3 for a period of at least one year preceding the championship. 



EXPERIENCE CLASSIFICATION 

a. Class A shall be for all boxers who have competed in more than 10 bouts. 

b. Class B shall be for all boxers who have competed in at least six and not more than ten bouts. 

c. Class C shall be for all boxers who have competed in not more than five bouts. 

NB: Please note these groups are written incorrectly in the rule book Oct 2007 

d. Unless in the case of a boxer winning a title entirely by walkover, winning boxers cannot re-enter this championship in the same classification but may re-enter at the higher classification. 

e. Winners in class A shall be upgraded to intermediate class.
