Boxers on the beat
Downend Police and Community Amateur Boxing Club will host a tournament at Yate Leisure Centre on Saturday April 19 2008.
Doors open for the tournament at Yate Leisure Centre at 7pm on Saturday April 19 2007. Boxing, which will also feature the first round of the Royal Navy Amateur Boxing Association National Junior Championships, starts at 7.45pm.
Police clubs from around the country are expected to take part, and prizes will be awarded by Chipping Sodbury and Thornbury Neighbourhood Inspector Caroline Howard.
Insp Howard said: "I'm delighted to support the young local talent at this very worthwhile club which gives young people a great opportunity to get involved in sport and learn valuable life skills."
