Regions benefit from Boxing Foundation funds
The ABAE Board and Boxing Foundation chairman Alan Lynch have been thrilled with the number of clubs for whom successful applications have been delivered.
Even though the grants are small in terms of funding, this in-sport initiative (boxing only) is unique within national governing body sports provision.
The ABA are to expand the foundation programme for 2008/09 and will soon be posting application forms and criteria for submissions on the website.
The foundation has also delivered a substantial amount of money to regions, and 120 fully qualified ABA coaches - moving from assistant coach level - have benefitted from free access to this particular coach education opporunity.
We will keep you abreast of all developments in the near future as soon as the targets and outcomes have been assessed for the forthcoming year.
