Support our team in Chicago
With the 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championships Chicago quickly approaching, the England team are preparing for one of their toughest challenges yet.

On behalf of ABS and all boxing fans in Scotland, please let the boys know that we are united as a team for Great Britain and wish every one of them the very best in their endeavours. Even Rugby and Football haven't got the spirit we in boxing have and that is down to the boxers, they're a credit to their clubs, families and most of all themselves.
Best wishes,

Dear Team GB
May I, on behalf of all the team at the EIS in Yorkshire, wish you all the best at the World Amateur Boxing Championships which start today? Not only is this a major tournament in the boxing calendar and one you have been preparing to participate in for sometime, spending many hours in our facility but in addition to this it is your chance to compete for one of the greatest prizes within sport and that is a place in the GB team at the Beijing Olympic Games. There is no greater feeling in sport than to represent your country at an Olympic Games and to be able to say you are an Olympian. Everyone here hopes you all return as world champions but if this is not the case then we hope you return as Olympians - the road to Beijing starts today.
Good Luck
EIS Yorkshire
Good luck and best wishes to all the British boys competing in Chicago for the 2007 World Championships. We have only ever won three medals, but I reckon you lads can add to that.
Frankie Gavin; make Birmingham proud!
James Degale; it's your time to shine!
Bradley Saunders; you've just got better since winning the ABAs!
David Price; forget the last World Championships in 2005, 2007 is your tournament!
Stephen Smith; add to that European bronze medal you got last year!
Good luck to the rest of the team, you all have a lot of support back home.
Jeff

I've just logged on to my computer to look at the opening day results and seen Joe Murray and Bradley Saunders both scored wins in their first sessions. Great guns from the two northerners, it's cheered up my morning.
