New CRB process

.

The board of directors of the ABAE have identified an alternative CRB umbrella body to replace   the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain. The new company is 1st Ace Limited.

After meeting the board, 1st ACE have agreed to make a seamless takeover of the ABAE database which should cause minimum disruption.

The take over will take effect from Monday 18th June 2007. From this date, ALL application forms will be provided by 1st Ace and should be ordered from the ABAE Office in Sheffield  On: 01142 235639.

1st ACE is anxious to identify more 'persons of trust' to facilitate the checking of documents by our own members and therefore eliminating the need to send private documents in the post.

In order to do this, all DIVISIONS are invited to nominate up to six persons who are willing to check the documents which support a CRB application form. These persons should be strategically placed on divisions to enable ALL members to access them.

All persons selected to carry out the document checking service will be subject to the agreement of 1st ACE Limited.

I am sure you will agree, this will not only make the process of application quicker in many instances but also 'document loss free'

In order that all 'persons of trust ' are appointed BEFORE the handover date of the 18th June - you are asked to nominate to me up to six people, with their full name, address including post code and contact telephone numbers.

In closing, I hope that you feel that the Police Clubs have provided you with a satisfactory service in the past and we wish 1st ACE our best wishes for the future.

  Yours sincerely

Barry Jones
