First ABAE Annual Awards Evening
The ABAE are to launch an annual awards evening and ceremony with the inaugural celebration taking place in December 2007.
The event will recognise achievements from the 2006-7 season, during a dinner/boxing event specially staged to recognise the recipients.
There will be special presentations and equipment for all award winners for their achievements and success in various roles.
The recognition categories will be as follows:
ABAE Club of the Year
ABAE Coach of the Year (four categories)
ABAE Official of the Year
ABAE Senior Boxer of the Year
ABAE Junior Boxer of the Year
ABAE Cadet of the Year
ABAE Golden Gloves Boxer of the Year
ABAE Women's Junior Boxer of the Year
ABAE Women's Senior Boxer of the Year
ABAE Outstanding International Performance by a Boxer (any age)
School Project of the Year
The nominations will be placed before a selection committee consisting of one member from each regional association, delivering neutrality, equity and equality to the process.

Forms will also be sent out to each of the regional associations to gain their nominations.
Nominations will be opened from July 10th and entries must be received by 20th August.
Invites for short-listed nominees to attend the event will be sent out in October 2007.
The date and venue of the awards evening will be confirmed shortly.
