Amateur boxing first sport to gain C2E accreditation
The ABAE is proud to announce that it is the first national governing body in British sport to gain Committed2Equality accreditation.
Commited2Equality is a body which aids, confims and recognises commitment to equality and diversity. Accreditation is gained after an onsite visit by a C2E advisor, who reviews and audits committed 2 equality procedures.
Chief Executive Paul King said: 'I am thrilled to make this announcement. The ABAE's National Child Protection and Equity Manager, Barry Jones, has been working hard for the past eighteen months to ensure that the we reach the high standards set to achieve this recognition. The work and commitment of our volunteers from the regions have helped us develop an equality agenda that gained an excellent 93% ranking."
