Message from AIBA President
The President of the International Amateur Boxing Association sent the following message to the ABA of England, following the Commonwealth Championships that took place recently in Liverpool.
Mr Wu's visit was an enormous coup for our organisation, and his good impression of this event is a credit to all involved.
Dear Paul
I have left Taipei with a very impressive memory of the well organised Commonwealth Amateur Boxing Championships. The Amateur Boxing Association of England has successfully staged the Games under the able leadership of Chairman Walters and yourself.
I would like to thank you for your thoughtful arrangement of a visit to my alma mater, University of Liverpool. The city of Liverpool has progressed a great deal. I can see the potential as an important city for the development of amateur boxing in England.
Once again I thank you very much for your kind invitation and warm hospitality. Best wishes to you and my boxing friends in England. I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Sincerely yours
Ching-Kuo WU
President, AIBA
