England v Sweden results
The England team emerged from their match against Sweden last night with four wins and five losses.
The mixed squad was up against a team with considerable experience. Sharon Holford's opponent is the current World Champion and Martin Ward beat the Swedish number one. Obed Mbwakongo and Frank Buglioni both lost to Olympians.
Keith Walters, Chairman of the ABAE, praised the team's efforts. "It was a superb effort," he said. "I was at ringside and I haven't seen such a brilliant display of boxing for a long time. Considering the opposition's wealth of experience, I think this team can hold their heads high. There is some real promise in this team."
