Coaches to benefit from training bursaries
The ABAE has been successful in securing funding from the National Skills Academy (NSA) to subsidise the cost of Full Coach courses for up to 100 coaches.
Coaches from all ABAE Associations will have the opportunity to benefit from these bursaries, which provide a reimbursement of 66% of the course costs. Each association will be able to identify seven coaches that will be eligible to apply for the bursaries.
Funding from the NSA was also secured to allow the ABAE to continue to develop its workforce of Coach Educators and Coach Assessors in preparation for the roll-out of the new Level 1 Coaching Certificate later this year.
National Club and Coach Manager Matthew Williams said, "This investment from the National Skills Academy demonstrates the progress that we are making in developing our coaching system. The additional Full Coaches, Coach Educators and Coach Assessors that this funding will allow us to develop will help us to continue to drive forward our coaching standards, and to support our coaches who work tirelessly to develop our sport."
