Courses for Clubs - Get 75% off!

 London South Bank University in association with Pro-Active Central London have realeased their 'Active Workforce Delivery Programme'. This details a number of courses that will be run for community sports clubs and voluntary organisations to help further the skills of their volunteer workforce.

The courses being run include;

  • Safeguarding and Protecting Children (The ABAE recognise this course as the minimum requirement to become a club welfare officer - it also is essential if your club is working towards club mark)
  • Emergency First Aid (essential for Coaches)
  • Funding for your sports club/organisation (a great opportunity to find out some ways of accessing grants for your club)

All courses are being run alongside the Mayor of London's Legacy funding programme which means that volunteers who commit to 10 hours of volunteering can access up to 75% off the full cost of the course.

The majority of courses are scheduled to be held at London South Bank University but the 'menu' of courses will likely expand over the next year and if clubs would like specific courses to be run, such as Stength and Conditioning, there may be opportunities for them to be hosts and reserve a large number of places for their members.
