Junior European Championships

The first ever 'Junior Boxing Championships' of European took place in the City of Miskolc (Hungary) between the 8th - 15th November 1970 for 'under 21 years'.  This was the first ever 'European Amateur Boxing Association' (EABA) event.

The team (3) Bronze Medals at 54kg, 81kg and 91kg.  As you would expect the East Europeans swept the Board.  Hungary won (5) Gold as did the USSR.  The GDR picked up the last Gold.  The (11) weights were:
