Roll of honour domestic

The first ever ABA Championship was held on the 18th April 1881 (St James Hall, London). Titles were awarded for four weight categories.

In 1920 the ABA launched the Schools Championships, followed by the Junior Championships at Alexander Palace, London in 1935.  These Championships were followed by the NABC Championships which started in 1949.

In 1995 the British Universities Championships were launched. It wasn't until 2000 that the ABAE established the Novice ABA Championships.  Finally, the Golden Belt Championship were established in 2004 at Crystal Palace.

The ABAEwould like to formally recognise the achievements of all these champions and finalists since 1881 in all its competitions. These records are not complete so please email the ABAE with any omissions, errors or information.

We hope you enjoy reviewing the rich history of the ABAE, its clubs and of course its boxers.
