ABA novice (under 20)

The 'Novice ABA's were introduced in 2000 to help senior novice boxers gain valuable competition experience.  Currently there are (2) classes in this national competition.  Class (A) covers those boxers who have had less than (10) bouts) in total.  Class (B) covers those boxers who have had less than (20) bouts in total.  'The Championship' has gone from strength to strength.  Past winners include

  • Anthony Bellew, Rotunda ABC now (3) times National ABA Champion (2004, 2005, 2006) at 91kg won the Class (A) and Class (B) at 81kg (2000, 2003).

  • Derek Chisora, Finchley and District ABC, the 2006 National ABA Champion at +91kg after winning the 2005 Class (A) Novice Championships.

The ABA of England is delighted with the success of these 'Championships' and remains committed to its development.
